Have you ever gone on a walk and found some twigs, nuts, stones, flowers, or berries that were simply so beautiful that you took them home? You might have put them into a vase or tucked them into a drawer with the idea of using them for a future craft or project but were just waiting for the right inspiration. You may have found it in Louise Curley’s new book, The Crafted Garden: Stylish Projects Inspired by Nature.

In this book, Louise presents 50 projects using natural elements ranging from growing plants and flowers to autumn leaves and egg shells. Broken down into season, there’s something to make at any time of the year!

Are you intrigued? Great! Because I’m really pleased to be giving a copy away to one lucky reader.*

Create a natural Christmas ornament using pine cones, acorns, sycamore seed pods, and chinese lantern. From the book 'The Crafted Garden' by Louis Curley

To enter the drawing, please leave me a comment below or on this facebook post with a way to contact you should you win. I’d also love to hear about any nature inspired crafts you’ve made yourself or of natural items you’ve collected but haven’t found an idea for yet. As for me, I have a stash of pressed flowers that I hope to be using in making handmade cards.

The book is set to be released in September 2015 by Frances Lincoln press and will be available in bookshops and online. To reserve a copy direct from the publishers, please visit their website. And to hear more about this book direct from the author, visit Wellywoman’s blog to read about her inspiration and personal experience with finishing this book – it was two years in the making!

Good luck with the competition – I’ll be announcing the winner on Monday the 7th. What a lovely thing to be able to give someone a gift on their very own birthday!
